Presently, he is a consultant surgeon at the Kingston Public Hospital. He graduated The University of the West Indies (Mona) where he attended medical school (M.B.B.S., 2001) and further specialized in Urology (Doctorate of Medicine, 2013). He attended McMaster University and The University of Toronto for elective training during his residency. Dr. Gafoor sub-specialized with Fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Surgery/ EndoUrology, as well as received an Honorary appointment in Renal Transplant Surgery, at Monash Health Services in Melbourne, Australia (2014-2016).
Dr. Gafoor is a member of the American Urological Association, Societe Internationale d’ Urologie, and the Jamaica Urological Society. He is a passionate educator, and has presented on a wide variety of Urological topics. He avidly promotes Gold Standard, as well as state-of-the-art, surgical approaches and principles.
